Herbal Strategies for Allergies
February 11, 2016
6:30-8:30pm
Homestead Apothecary, Oakland California
Class Description: Allergies can be seasonal, environmental, dietary, hereditary or a combination of all the above. Energetically, allergies call on us to take a look at our selves, our boundaries, and how we interact with the world around us. Often times we become ‘hyper-sensitized’ to common elements. Diet, herbs, and flower/gem essences can help us translate these elements into a language our bodies can understand.

In this class, we will look at how the body responds to common dietary and environmental allergenic triggers and how to stabilize over-sensitivities. We we also learn which herbal allies can alleviate immediate inflammatory symptoms, acting like anti-histamines and mast cell stabilizers; and which to use in creating long-term strategies to strengthen the immune system. We will taste herbs and prepared herbal medicines and you will leave with strategies for self care and how to incorporate them into daily life.
