Mt. Diablo 2017 Super Bloom Continues
After my mom's passing just two months ago, it has been a roller coaster of beautiful moments and deep dark heartache. The plants show me how to survive, in cycle with their own rhythms of budding, blooming, fruiting, seeding, and returning to the earth that is their own mother. I'm so blessed. Blessed to be an Herbalist. Blessed to live in the Bay Area. Blessed to have a deep connection with Nature. Blessed to have a partner that is a Botanist. Blessed to have a beautiful Mother-In-Law to share it with. It is affirming in this world to meet people on the trail who can share the common names of plant or who ask what I know about a growing, blossoming friend.
